Alfredo Carrato is presently Emeritus Professor of Medical Oncology at Alcala University and Director of the Research Group on Pancreatic Cancer at Ramon y Cajal Research Institute – IRYCIS, as well as at the Spanish Network of Cancer Research – CIBERONC, both in Madrid, Spain. He is the Chairperson of Pancreatic Cancer Europe.

She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 25, in 2017. She voluntarily works as a Patient Expert & Patient Advocate for the cancer patient community.
She is Vice-chair of PCE Board of Directors.
Núria Malats

She is currently the head of the Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology Group at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), Madrid, Spain. Her research primarily focuses on pancreatic and urinary bladder cancers. She has over 300 scientific publications (h-index: 83) and is an external peer reviewer of national and international funding agencies and of high-impact scientific journals.
Ali Stunt

Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2007, she was inspired to set up Pancreatic Cancer Action and is passionate about encouraging early diagnosis of the disease.
Ali is also a key opinion leader and spokesperson, founding board member and President of Pancreatic Cancer Europe 2018/19.
Sorin T. Barbu
representing Romanian Pancreatic Club, Romania
Professor of Surgery, Chairman of the 4th Surgery Department and member of the Surgery Council at the “Iuliu Hatigeanu” University of Medicine & Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He is President of the Romanian Pancreatic Club since 2007, Councillor in the Executive Committee of the European Federation – International Society for Digestive Surgery (EFISDS), member of the UEG Public Affairs Committee and of the European Pancreatic Club since 2002.
