Dan McNamee is a pancreatic cancer survivor, father, husband, and author. But above all else, he’s committed to using his story to raise awareness and bring hope to others facing this devastating disease.

Diagnosed at age 40, Dan’s world changed overnight.

“It was a truly shocking diagnosis. I felt young and healthy. I had a four-year-old son and a nine-month-old son. So it really upended everything in my life.”

Dan’s survival depended on access to experimental treatments—something many patients struggle to find.

“There are medical trials all over Europe and the U.S., but as a patient, it’s very difficult to know what those options are, whether you’re eligible, or how to access them. Even doctors aren’t always connected to that information.”

This is exactly why Pancreatic Cancer Europe exists: to close these gaps, raise awareness of early symptoms, promote research, and help patients find life-saving opportunities.
