The “Getting Our Act Together”: Multistakeholder Meeting on Access to Therapy for Pancreatic Cancer organised by PCE and the Anticancer Fund in collaboration with the support of European Pancreatic Club was held on June 25 2024 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. This meeting gathered experts from various fields including oncology, surgery, gastroenterology, pharmacology, patient advocacy, and policy-making.

The program was structured into several sessions focusing on key aspects of pancreatic cancer treatment:

  1. Session 1: Patient priorities in treatment
  2. Session 2: Best practices in identifying treatments
  3. Session 3: Best practices in standard care (SOC) treatments
  4. Session 4: Clinical trials
  5. Session 5: Holistic treatments
  6. Session 6: Call to actions

The meeting aimed to foster collaboration among stakeholders to enhance research, improve access to care, and define actionable initiatives for the pancreatic cancer community across Europe. Although the event was invitation-only, outcomes and insights generated from the discussions will be shared post-event. You can expect to receive a comprehensive report through our newsletter to benefit the broader healthcare community.

This initiative reflects a concerted effort by PCE and the Anticancer Fund to address critical gaps in pancreatic cancer care through multidisciplinary cooperation and strategic planning.
