“Getting Our Act Together”: Multistakeholder Meeting on Access to Therapy co-organised with Anticancer Fund
The idea
Together with the Anticancer Fund and supported by the European Pancreatic Club, we successfully hosted the “Getting Our Act Together – Multistakeholder Meeting on Access to Therapy for Pancreatic Cancer” on June 25, 2024. The event, held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, brought together leading professionals from oncology, surgery, gastroenterology, pharmacology, patient advocacy, and policy-making.
Structured around several sessions, the program covered topics such as best practices in standard care treatments, the role of clinical trials, holistic treatment approaches, and innovative strategies in patient care. Each session was followed by roundtable discussions to define specific actions and identify leads for future initiatives. The collaborative atmosphere fostered productive dialogues and set the stage for significant advancements in pancreatic cancer therapy access.
