Physical activity and pancreatic cancer, 21 November 15:30 – 17:00 (CET)

Discover the transformative potential of physical activity for individuals affected by pancreatic cancer at our upcoming online event, “Physical Activity and Pancreatic Cancer”, scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 15:30 to 17:00 CET. The event will be organized in the frame of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month 2023, together with the European Pancreatic Club (EPC). This event aims to bring together stakeholders, including MEPs, to explore the profound impact of physical activity on health-related quality of life in pancreatic cancer patients during and after treatment.

The programme presided over by Gabriele Capurso, EPC General Secretary in Austria, will commence with a welcome message from Nicolás González Casares, MEP, Spain. Cindy Neuzillet from the Curie Institute Saint Cloud, France, will deliver a keynote speech on the advantages of physical activity for pancreatic cancer patients throughout and post-treatment. The subsequent panel discussion, moderated by Maria Luisa Pagano, PCE, will explore the impact of physical activities on the quality of life for pancreatic cancer patients, featuring insights from Alice Avancini (University of Verona, Italy), Petra Thaller (Outdoor Against Cancer, Germany), Sanjay Pandanaboyana (Newcastle University, United Kingdom), and Ali Stunt (PCE Board of Directors and Pancreatic Cancer Action, United Kingdom), followed by a Q&A session. Ester Molina Beltran will then present the project “Physical activities and pancreatic cancer,” and the event will conclude with concluding remarks from Alfredo Carrato, PCE Board of Directors.
